HIGH NECKS

HIGH NECKS

05/11/2016

NEWLOOK(OLD)

This is by far my most used and probably most favourite top in my wardrobe. You can use this top in sooooo many different ways and that's always a good thing if you're like me and want to make the most out of your money! I usually wear it layered with something like under long sleeved round neck tops or even just paired with a flannel but I can dress it up or down and that's super useful when you don't know what to wear!

ZARA(SUMMER 2016)

I adore the colour of this top and how 60's it looks. I love the zip and the collar however I find it hard to know what to wear on top of it and so I feel it's defiantly more of a summer top but I love none the less. I actually got this in the sale and it was like £7.99 which was such a bargain and a seriously good find.

My go to colour this season by far has been red. I got this jumper on my uniform(I work at Topshop) and it has been my most worn item by a long mile. The neckline is slightly too high so I just tuck it inwards and it creates a perfect high neck for autumn time. The sleeves are my favourite part of this look as they aren't like normal jumpers and they have a bit of length to them which I think is very different and really flatters your arms.

This funnel neck jumper has honestly been a key piece in my wardrobe. Again with this neckline I have rolled it down as its way too long for my neck but when it gets a lot colder I'll probably keep it all the way up just for warmth. The colour of this jumper is so dreamy and by far the most autumnal thing I own right now. The sleeves are huge which is what I like most because it gives it a very vintage look and this season is all about being comfortable and baggy clothes are defiantly the most cozy of them all!

TOPSHOP/ LOVING YOUTH(OLD)

I got this top quite a while ago when fashion was introducing the turtle neck again and although I haven't worn it a huge lot it's still a fav piece of mine due to the hot pink. I like to layer a spaghetti top over this as it's a little on the short side and I'm not totally body confident but it also makes it look less busy than what it is. The turtle neck and long sleeve make it perfect for this time of year because you're covered but still looking in trend.

My love for high necks will never go and they're defiantly a staple piece in my wardrobe all year round. I love how flattering they are for me and with my long neck they help make me look less like a giraffe! Also they're great this time of year as the keep the wind off your neck and defiantly makes me feel more warm! Let me know your favourite kind of neckline!

HOLY GRAIL PRODUCTS

HOLY GRAIL PRODUCTS

02/11/2016

I'm extremely lucky when it comes to my skin because (touch wood) I rarely get spots and massive breakouts however I do have a lot of redness and sometimes dry skin and that's why I always use these four products. No matter how good your skin may be you still need to look after it! Apart from drinking lots of water(which to be honest I should do more of) these products for me really help my skin from looking dull and patchy.
I usually shower every morning and night and so to prevent my skin becoming dry  I use this kind to skin shower gel by Simple. It has vitamins in it which really helps to waken up your skin and on a more important note.. it smells amazing!
After I've showered(and before I put my makeup on) I moisturise my face and body to make me baby smooth and to help again with the dryness of my skin. I'm currently using a moisturiser that has a slight tint in it just to help maintain the slight tan I got over the summer as I'm trying to hold on to it for as long as I can before turning into a ghost again. It has a great smell and I don't feel like I have to stay still for an hour as it drys and I'm not a slippery mess which is perfect for impatient people like myself.
My favourite product of all time is defiantly my glycolic glow tonic which I apply every evening after removing my makeup and every morning before applying any makeup. It helps remove dead skin and helps make the face and neck more radiant which is exactly what I need because the bags under my eyes actually make me look like a zombie. I defiantly feel more confident not wearing makeup now that i have started using this product due to the fact my skin is actually mainly one colour now rather than 100 shades of black and red.
The most important thing for your skin is to be able to breathe and you can't exactly achieve that while wearing makeup everyday so I make sure I take it off every night and usually as soon as I know I'm not going out again. My face is quite sensitive so I have to make sure I use makeup wipes that have no fragrance in them but other than that I use whatever ones I manage to pick up as I'm not hugely fussed. I also like to make sure I have at least one day a week where I don't wear makeup as It's nice to embrace your natural beauty and give your skin a real chance to breathe and get some fresh air!

These are my personal holy grail products that I use religiously but I'm no expert and I'm just using what I think works on my skin. However I'm still to find something that will seriously help my under eye circles so please let me know if you know anything(that isn't sleep) because not even concealer can cover those bad boys.

WINTER MUST HAVES

WINTER MUST HAVES

30/10/16

COATS

            DUSTER COAT-MISSGUIDED            PUFFER COAT-TOPSHOP

Coats are an obvious must this winter especially if you're like me and are from the UK which is always stupidly cold. Coats are 100% my favourite piece of clothing and I have to admit I own a few too many but that's not stopping me from eyeing up a couple more. All the coats I own are all slightly lacking in the colour department(like my whole wardrobe) and when I saw this pink coat I felt I just needed to add it to my collection as a pop of colour is never a bad thing. I don't own a puffer either and while working at Topshop I tend to shop on the job(as I'm sure everyone else does/would do) and this green puffer caught my eye straight away.

JUMPERS

         CROPPED KNIT-TOPSHOP                 OVERSIZED KNIT-URBAN OUTFITTERS
\Another obvious must have are jumpers. I love jumpers because I'm always cold and it's nice to feel snug and comfortable. This cropped polo neck jumper is defiantly up my street as it's casual and comfy but with it being cropped it adds a little bit of an edge to it. Oversized jumpers are a must as they're cosy, warm and you can style them in so many different ways.

STRIPES

                  STRIPE TROUSERS-TOPSHOP           TOP-COMMES DES GARCONS

I'm not sure what it is about stripes but for some reason I tend to link them to the colder seasons of the year. I'm obsessed and I've recently been loving layering the long sleeve tops with a band tee over the top which is so effortless to do but adds an edgy vibe to your outfit(outfit of the day to come soon). Trousers are a must this time of year for me because of how comfy they are and when i'm cold all I want to feel is comfortable but still stylish. Stripes really flatter the body as well which is a great confidence boost if you're like me and not 100% body confident.

EYE MAKEUP

I love doing my eye makeup and I feel in the summer I tend to wear little or none at all but now we are getting into the colder seasons I can apply more and really make my eyes standout. I don't go really dark but I do use a lot of coppers and shimmers. This is currently my everyday eye makeup and I love how gold and glowy it is but still subtle for everyday.

Those are my main must haves for now and I hope you agree! let me know if there's something I need to have for the colder months approaching! Defiantly love winter as you can layer and be as bold but snug as you want! Fashion really comes out on top this season and i'm so excited to see how everyone is dressing this winter.

EVERYDAY MAKEUP PRODUCTS

EVERYDAY MAKEUP PRODUCTS

29/10/16

FACE PRODUCTS

With my foundation I tend to apply it with a brush because I'm too lazy to use a beauty blender and I find i can use less product and get better coverage. I use the Real Techniques foundation brush and I have used this foundation for years as i just can't find a better one.
For my concealer(which I need a good amount of) i actually use this foundation by Rimmel London as it was too light or my actual foundation but a perfect way to brighten my under eyes! I do use a beauty blender to apply this(its horrifically dirty) as it really helps with the coverage.
To set my face my makeup I use this collection prime and ready invisible powder. I apply that with my powder brush by Real Techniques(it's so fluffy) and I find it really helps to stop my face becoming oily during the day however I'm still to find a powder that keeps my makeup on for longer than three hours so if you have any suggestions please let me know!
CONTOURING AND HIGHLIGHT

I need to add a lot of colour to my face as I am the same shade as a ghost but I've defiantly found the best products for me and I love them so much!! To start off with I use the middle bottom shade from the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit(light to medium powder) to define my cheekbones and I use the Sculpting Brush by Real Techniques to apply that with. I'm quite subtle with my makeup hence why I use such a light shade and plus I'm too scared to go any darker!
After that I get my beloved Hoola bronzer by Benefit and with the Blush Brush by Real Techniques I apply this to the out corners of my forehead and down onto my cheekbones. I also apply it to my jawline to help hide my double chins and down my next so it all blends in!
Then onto highlighter I use 2 products because there's no limit to the glow. I firstly go in with my No7 star palette on the tops of my cheekbones and up just past my eye to start the glow off. I then go in with my collection glow stick and apply over the areas I've already covered and then onto my cupids bow. Highlighter is so pretty and really makes my face look less dead.

EYEBROWS AND EYES

My favourite part of doing my makeup is 100% when I do my eyebrows and eyes. There's so many different looks you can create when doing your eyes and it's a perfect way to match your makeup with the time of year! firstly I do my brows the the soap and glory archery pen in brownie points and this product honestly changed my life.
At the moment I love to put the hoola bronzer in the crease of my eye and blend that out. I then get my naked 2 palette (another life saver) and I put the shade YDK all over my lid and blend it with the bronzer. Then for the inner-corners of my eyes I put the shade BUSTED to brighten and add some colour to my eyes. On my lower lid i out CHOPPER to brighten my under eyes and adding a autumnal colour to my eyes. Sometimes I put the shade BOOTYCALL under my brow bone and on the outer corner of my lower lash line to add some definition.
After all that shadow I love to do my winged eyeliner and the product I'm currently using is the best eyeliner I've ever used and I've tried a LOT. After that i just apply my mascara and my makeup is finally done!

Although it sounds like a lot of makeup it's honestly not and it's perfect for everyday! If you have any suggestions on makeup products I might like please let me know and I will defo do some experimenting! I'm desperate for a more Burgundy and bronze like palette for my eyes so I'll hopefully find one and do an update!

OUTFIT OF THE DAY

28/10/16

White ribbed top- Topshop
Long sleeved stripped top- Topshop
Navy Trousers- Next
Shoes- Converse
Earrings- H&M
Necklace-My grandmas

About a month ago I started my job at Topshop. I've been told it's a lucky gig and I guess they're right because I get great discount. I've had my eye on this top for a long time and I feel there's no better time to wear stripes then now when we're going through the contrast of summer to autumn/winter. I'm totally obsessed with laid back outfits that look like you have made an effort and that's what this outfit in a nutshell. Layering is a must this time of year for me and it's so easy to grab two tops and sling them together making it look like, again you have really put an effort in. I also finally got a fringe and i'm IN LOVE, if you're thinking of getting one take the plunge I promise it's worth it!
