Why it pays to be nice

BEING NICE ISN'T THAT HARD

I'm a strong believer in 'treat people they way you want to be treated' and the way I want to be treated is right BUT you won't be treated like that if you don't show people that you are capable of it as well. Sometimes I get knocked down and although it's not morally okay it actually is okay because at least you know they are only being like that because it is who they are and not a reflection of how you treated them.

  Now I am no saint and I actually have no mother to prove that but that doesn't mean I don't try my hardest with everyone and stick to who I am. Manners cost absolutely nothing and being nice is what gives this world something to smile at when there's very little to be happy about. Even just in the blogger community I've found people tweeting about supporting fellow writers yet they don't reply or follow back people who are constantly interactive (for the right reasons). It makes me sad that in this day and age and with something as powerful as social media we use it to belittle one another and call each other out on things we can't control or even just an opinion we might have. 

  I can't stand and take nice pictures without someone looking at me funny or someone having a little giggle and really if that was me witnessing someone in the zone I'd be like YOU GO GIRL. People are good at different things. I know people who are good at maths and English and then I know people who are amazing actors and singers yet we all still can't accept one another and appreciate that everyone is unique in their own way and that it's beautiful not wrong. Being nice doesn't JUST mean holding a door open for someone or letting a pregnant lady have your seat on the crowded sweaty train it also means supporting one another and believing in someones else's dreams and abilities. 

   

What I'm trying to say is that I think the world shines a whole lot brighter when someone shows love and kindness rather than being demoralising and heartless. In a world full of hate be nice and the world will be nice to you.
