Moving away isn't all bad

MOVING AWAY ISN'T ALL THAT BAD

I'm a pro when it comes to moving about and dealing with having to start a fresh but sometimes change is very good and especially when you least expect it to be. Here's five reason why moving on can be a very very very good thing.

1.QUANTITY NOT QUALITY.
You really do realise whose in it for the long run with you. I've never been one to have a large group of friends so I don't tend to get attached to that many people but when I do I really do and that's why it's so important to make sure you chose the right people to share your life with. Another thing you have to learn is that friendship and relationships are built up of two people and although sometimes life gets in the way you have to be able to always go back to that person that makes as much effort as you do and who YOU feel like YOU can't be YOU without. My bestie for life is this beauty and although I've seen her twice since the 6 months apart it's all about the quality and not the quantity(made sense in my head). If you're reading this Jadey you're the bomb and I lavvvvv ya moon head.

2.YOU HONESTLY NEVER KNOW.
I lived in Surrey for 18 years of my life and in that time I learned to walk, I went to school, learnt to ride a bike, I made friends and I lost friends and went through those little heartbreaks that you think you may never recover from but you do.. quite quickly so building my whole life there and then for me to just leave it all behind was something that took my a while to even consider let alone to do it. But I put my big girl pants on and drove my packed to the brim little blue KA to Cambridge and I haven't looked back. Yes at the start I moaned and made every possible little trip I could back to surrey but now I can't believe I didn't move sooner! I'm finally home and as cheesy as that sounds I don't care because feeling like you belong somewhere is more important than trying to fit in to somewhere you never truly felt yourself.

3.YOU LOSE SOME YOU WIN SOME.
Considering I spent 18 years of my life in Surrey, not a single person has come and seen me up here. Now I know that seems like the start of a sob story but I can assure you it's not because this has just made me live by a whole new quote in life 'you win some you lose some' and although I still keep in touch with people from Surrey like my family and about two friends(and always will) I also haven't dwelled on the fact that all those people who were meant to be my friends/family well.. weren't. I know we are all so busy and I miss my fam a lot but I'm also happy I can ring them up and act as if I'd popped round last week for a cup of tea. I'm young and not only do I have myself to still discover (deep) I still have loads more people to come and go and I'm totally okay with that (savage but true).

4.THE BEST IS STILL TO COME.
I'm not going to lie and tell you all that I've found my feet and I'm totally settled because is anyone truly settled? Who knows what career I'll be in next year or what friends will be there with me to experience those adventures with but for now I'm happy and content and It's so important to find people that ground you and keep you sane but also those who make your life that tiny bit funnier or a tiny bit more exciting. I've found a few gems here and I'll tell them now... I'm not going anywhere fast... UNLUCKY SUCKKKERS.

5.AGE IS JUST A NUMBER.
I think this is the most important thing I've learnt because It's made me probably the most happiest. Don't get me wrong I LOVE BEING HOME but I also love that this little shy lonely caterpillar is now a bloody blooming sociable butterfly. I've met so many different people of all ages and I honestly couldn't tell you who was older or younger. I've met the most mature but fun, inspired but also loves a jager bomb and determined but exciting people EVER and I'm so glad I had the balls to get my little retail job, move up the country and experience real people with real goals. Have to say though I've got to give it to my besties for treating me the way they do and being so genuine and warm (getting soppy now) because in a time I thought I would be a loner forever (I'm not kidding) I came across people I wouldn't be Sophie without... BIG UP CAMBRIDGE.

So from me to you here's 5 reasons why moving away and starting a fresh isn't such a bad thing sometimes.

Sunny London Days

Sunny London Days

Before I spam my blog with holiday pics I thought I would do a tiny post on my little trip to London for the boyfs bday. It was sunny, calorific and super long saturday but I seriously enjoyed eating and walking my way round one of the most beautiful capital cities in the world.
I'm extremely lucky in the sense that I've always lived about a 45 minute train journey away from London so fortunately I've been a lot of times (especially since my college just loved a good old trip to the V&A museum.. I could be a tour guide of that place) but no matter how many times you go the city always has something new and exciting to offer especially depending on who you go with. Even luckier for me I went with my boyfriend Noah who actually grew up(kinda) in London so he knows his ends (he says that but he wouldn't even know his left and his rights if they were written on each hand) and he showed me parts of London I had no idea about.
I'm just going to go straight in with my food experiences because it's my fav topic and gosh did I stuff my face with possibly the nicest food I've ever experienced. We kicked off the day with a lunch at five guys and I know five guys is like everywhere but who can't crave the chips that weigh the same as a new born baby? Certainly not me. We finished our evening at the hard rock cafe which is right up our street as we are both metal heads (I do still love signing and fist pumping to SHOUT OUT TO MY EX don't get me wrong) and love anythinggggggg to do with rock so the atmosphere was spot on and then the food.. let me tell you about the food. I died and went to heaven when the cheese and bacon burger entered my mouth (sounds wrong but I don't care this is an important moment in my life) and I can speak for Noah too on that. Honestly I have little words for this place except JUST GO.
We went to the touristy places but I won't bore you with those details however if you're a lover of chocolate like me M&M shop should defo be a stop on your journey because the smell alone makes me want to gain 7 stone.
Anyway I'm rambling but here is my little trip to London and I hope this read was as worth it as it was to trek for miles to have an overpriced but worth it greasy cheeseburger.... And I also hope my big goofball of a boyfriend enjoyed his birthday outing to the slightly sunny, seriously packed and extremely beautiful London.

What I'm Taking On Holiday

What I'm Taking On Holiday

So in less than a week I will be jetting off to sunny (hopefully) Mallorca and I'm absolutely buzzing my t*ts off. I honestly can't remember the feeling of stepping off a plane and being hit with a wave of heat but I'm ready for it and of course I've got to step out in style (SO CHEESE HEHE) so here is the majority of what I'll be taking with me.
I've decided that I need to wear colour and so I've made the brave decision to not bring my black jeans... dun dun dun. I feel like I'll be more summery if I wear blue jeans and add colours like pinks and whites so that's what I've done and I'm very proud of myself (pats self on the back).
A key piece for this trip for me and for really any chance I get are my crop tops! I love my crop tops and I have a very large selection so narrowing it down to a few was a really tough job but I pulled through and managed to only pack 8... I have a problem.
I took a cheeky trip to Primark to finish off buying my last few bits and I found the most comfy, affordable and beautiful pair of sandals/sliders and IM IN LOVE. They were £3 and they are a beautiful white cross over pair of dreams and I'm going to go back and buy the black and metallic pair and I don't care.
My fav part of holiday shopping is buying the cute little shampoos and toothpastes because who doesn't like tiny versions of boring adult things? Just me? okay moving on.
You always need a 'just in case' alternative just in case the weather is a bit rubbish and luck is not on your side. I'm hoping my denim jacket and jeans will do the trick and if not you'll find me in the hotels spa where I don't need to make any contact with the outside world.
So there it is my 'holiday musts' and I can not wait to dip in the pool and take a trip to the spa (hopefully you read that like a true high school musical fan we all should be) and I'll see you all on the other side. Peace out.

Day Trip To Boiling Brighton

Following on from my previous blog about living life I've decided I wanted to share my short but sweet visit to Brighton. It was my besties birthday so we decided to carry on the celebrations and do what we do best and that's to go to pretty places and have a good old time. The weather was defo on our side this day and we were definitely in our element which always makes any day 10000000% better.
Anyway our mission of the day was to obviously find the most aesthetically pleasing places and it's fair to say we walked about 100 miles but in the end we successfully completed our mission and got some pretty cool pics. If you're thinking of going anywhere soon then jiggle your butt down to Brighton because that's were it's all going down and you can thank me later.... enjoy.

Pop of colour

A Pop Of Colour

This has to be my most classic and basic outfit to date but I love it and I always will. I love wearing all black just as much as the next person but I've developed a love for red these past few months and wearing all black feels so wrong when I can incorporate some sort of colour. For this outfit I've taken a classic outfit and instead of wearing my normal black and white converse I switched it up and added my fav shoes ever which are the red and white high top converse. I also love adding some silver details to my outfits just make this look more put together. I'm sporting one of my many black high neck jumpers with my stepped hem jamie jeans because you can't go wrong with a classic skinny jean but why not be slightly different and look as if someone has hacked off the ends of your jeans.
Here's to all the black outfit lovers like me.
